# Billing

> Manage subscriptions, payment methods, invoices, and credits.

Billing is managed per team. Navigate to **Billing** in the sidebar to view and manage your team's subscription.

## Plans

| Plan | CPU | Memory | Storage | Price | Services |
| - | - | - | - | - | - |
| **Launch** | 1 vCPU | 512 MB | 10 GB | \$3/mo | No |
| **Build** | 2 vCPU | 2 GB | 25 GB | \$7/mo | Yes |
| **Grow** | 2 vCPU | 4 GB | 50 GB | \$15/mo | Yes |
| **Scale** | 4 vCPU | 8 GB | 100 GB | \$25/mo | Yes |
| **Turbo** | 6 vCPU | 12 GB | 150 GB | \$49/mo | Yes |

## Subscribing

1. Go to **Billing**
2. Select a plan
3. Add a payment method (credit card via Stripe)
4. Confirm your subscription

## Changing Plans

You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time from the billing page. Changes take effect at the next billing cycle.

## Payment Methods

* Add, remove, and set a default payment method
* Payment methods are securely handled via Stripe Elements
* Your first payment method is automatically set as the default (synced with Stripe)
* You cannot remove your last payment method if you have active pods, unpaid invoices, or pending usage charges

## Invoices

View all past invoices with status (paid, pending, failed) and amounts. Click an invoice to see its details.

Billing is prorated — you only pay for the days a pod was active during the billing period. The billing page shows both the monthly rate and the prorated amount for each pod.

## Credits

If your team has credits (from promotions or refunds), they appear on the billing page and are applied to future invoices automatically.

The first card you add to your account grants a one-time **\$10 credit**. It is valid for **90 days**
from the day the card is added, and you get an email naming the amount and the expiry date when it
lands. Your first invoice is issued when your first monthly cycle closes, so the credit is normally
still there to cover it. It is once per person, not once per team.

## Failed Payments

If a payment fails, your subscription enters a **past\_due** state with a 7-day grace period. During this time:

* Existing pods continue running
* New pods cannot be created

After 7 days without payment, the subscription is **suspended**:

* All pods are suspended
* No new pods can be created
* Pay the outstanding invoice to reactivate

<Note>
  Paying a past-due invoice reactivates your subscription but does not automatically restart suspended pods. You'll need to start them manually.
</Note>

### If it stays unpaid, the pods are deleted

A suspended pod is not kept forever. The full timeline, from the first failed charge:

| When | What happens |
| - | - |
| Day 0 | The charge fails. The subscription goes **past\_due** and you get an email |
| Day 7 | The subscription is **suspended**. Pods stop serving traffic |
| Day 10 and day 17 | Reminder emails, each with a link to pay |
| Day 28 | A final notice email naming the exact pods and the exact date they will be deleted |
| Day 35 | Those pods are **deleted** |

<Warning>
  Deletion is permanent. The container, its files and its databases are gone, and paying afterwards does not bring them back. Pay the outstanding invoice, or [download what you need](/ssh-and-files/file-management), before the date in the final notice.
</Warning>

Paying at any point before that date stops the whole sequence: the subscription reactivates, the
countdown is cleared, and nothing is deleted. You can always start the pods again yourself once it
is active.

## Cancellation

Cancel from **Billing** → Danger Zone → **Cancel subscription**. Only the team owner can cancel, because it ends billing for everyone on the team.

**Delete every pod first.** Cancellation is refused while the team still owns any pod, and the dashboard lists the ones in the way with a link to each.

<Warning>
  Stopping a pod does not stop billing. A stopped pod is still charged at its full plan rate for as long as it exists — deleting it is the only thing that ends the charge, and the only thing that clears the way to cancel.
</Warning>

Cancelling takes effect immediately: billing stops, and the usage already accrued in the current part-month is not invoiced.

Nothing else is removed. Your account, team, invoice history and any remaining credits are untouched, and there is no separate re-subscribe step — deploying a pod again starts a new subscription automatically.
